Colour and the perception of colour plays a central role in Leslye's work with the very act of applying paint being a sensual, joyous experience. Her subject matter is increasingly being chosen in an effort to convey to the viewer the same exuberance and joy of colour felt by the artist whilst painting the work. Leslye's main objective is to create works that allow the viewer to feel with their eyes. |
